It works well with the tripod and it looks good since it’s the same material. It is a center column extension, however, and the camera just simply is not as stable as where the three legs of the tripod meet. I would recommend using shutter release timer or cable release to let movement settle down before activating the shutter. That worked well for me, shooting the eclipse.

I got this tube as an add-on to my tabletop Leofoto tripod. It fits in the same bag and lets me get significantly more height, easily bearing the weight of a mirrorless camera and travel lens, making the tripod usable for a much wider range of shots. That makes this a much-have purchase and keeps the tripod slimmer than including a centre column.

I like that it’s compact but gives me an extra 2ft or more of height to my tripod. That makes for not having to extend my tripod’s legs beyond the standard extension. I’m a happy customer.
