Leofoto CF-07/W Replacement Foot for Canon RF70-200mm F2.8 L IS USM Z / RF24-105mm F2.8 LIS USM Z

So glad I found this foot for the canon RF70-200. It works great and fits perfect, just like the original foot. Having the Arca Swiss plate secures the camera and lens much better than the threaded option that comes with the lens.

My favorite thing about Leofoto's replacement feet for my Canon lenses is the QD socket. This is my new favorite way to carry my gear. That said, even without the QD I still would have purchased this for my new RF 70-200 IS f/2.8L Z (zed) lens for the integrated Arca plate. This replacement slides on and off just as easily as the original. It is a bit larger than the Canon foot, but that gives you a little more latitude for adjustments on the tripod, and a better hand hold while on the move. I own a Leofoto lens foot for my 100-500, my 600 f/4, and now this lens. I also owned the version for my Canon 100-400L mark II until I sold that lens. They've all been perfect. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.

The new Canon lens comes with a detachable tripod foot, but it does not include a built-in Arca-type dovetail. The Leofoto RF-07 foot avoids needing a bolt on Arca type plate which save weight extra height. It also includes a rubber pad that is convenient for holding the camera/lens while shooting. I got a white version of this lens, the RF-07 comes in black only. Oh well, I can live with this. Top class part, I recommend it.

This tripod foot smoothly goes on and off, and is fully compatable with the lock button on the lens. It's almost a perfect replacement...almost. The only area I would like to see this improved would be the location of the tripod thread. I use a Black Rapid strap that threads into the bottom of the plate. This plate moves that 1/4 inch thread very far forward and adjusts the balance noticeably. Still useable in this format, but not ideal.
