Leofoto CFC-01 Replacement Foot for Canon RF 100-500mm F4.5-7.1 L IS USM

I switched out my original Canon lens foot with the new Leofoto foot as soon as I received it. I liked the construction materials of the new foot. It mounted with no issues and it was very easy. Seems to fit perfectly. The new foot does not slip on the lens like the old foot did. So far, I am very happy with my purchase.

While this foot is priced a little higher than I would like, it is still worth the cost. It fits the lens perfectly, clamps down nicely onto my tripod, without needing an adapter, and is well-made. I’ll never understand why Canon can’t put a shoe on their $3,000 lens that fits my tripod without requiring an adapter, but I’m sure glad that Leofoto came to the market with this replacement!

10/10, no criticism of this lens foot/clamp. The factory lens foot for my RF 100-500 kept slipping around even when tightened fully. This was the main thing I wanted to fix and the Leofoto CFC-01 took care of that.

I was also please to find that I like this much better than the original lens foot in other ways too. When im shooting photos I have the lens foot sitting in my left palm and the extended length and well finished edges feel really nice and secure in my hand. I feel that it is both more comfortable and that I have a better secure grip. When carrying the camera at my side in one hand by the foot the extra length and nice bulged padding again is more comfortable and secure.

All around excellent design and finish. I love this part.

This is a great replacement for the collar that came with the lens. Much sturdier on the lens, and the arca swiss foot means one less attachment - it locks on my tripod head as is!

This is a solidly built bracket that actually tightens unlike Canon’s. Having an Arca Swiss base is a huge plus, keeps my rig nice and steady.
