Having owned and used this item for a couple of test sessions and a couple "in anger" I am extremely pleased with the Quality and fit of this part.
The Cable Anchor (CA) requires the camera to be fitted with an L-bracket as the CA clamps onto the vertical arm of the L-bracket right over the connector bay of my Nikon D7000 and D3s cameras. If using a Right Angle connector from TetherTools (no affiliation) then the cable runs easily , with a small loop of cable, down and through the CA. This stops any possibility of the cable being pulled out of the socket.
One problem is that if you use the Right Angle connector then it prevents you using both USB and HDMI cables together, also produces a small, tight but manageable loop of cable for the USB cable which covers the HDMI socket. If you do use both formats then you need to use straight connectors but this produces a large, wide loop of cable into the CA.
