The Leofoto LH-40GR is a precision-engineered tripod head that combines the strength and smoothness of the LH-40 ball head with the accuracy of an integrated G2-style geared panoramic head. Designed for photographers who demand both speed and micrometric control, the LH-40GR is ideal for landscape, architectural, panoramic, and macro photography.
At its core is a 40mm large-diameter ball, CNC-machined to a 0.01 mm tolerance for exceptionally smooth and stable movement. The low-profile design enhances rigidity while keeping the center of gravity close to the tripod, improving overall stability even with heavy camera and lens combinations up to 20 kg (44 lb).
Mounted permanently on top of the ball head is a dual-axis geared panorama system, offering ±10° micrometric adjustment on both X and Y axes. Dedicated geared knobs allow precise, repeatable framing without drift, while 360° panning on both the top and base ensures accurate panoramic stitching. Laser-engraved scales provide clear reference points for interval control and consistent repositioning.
The oversized ergonomic main locking knob enables fast, secure locking and smooth 45° tilting in all directions. Dual 90-degree drop notches allow instant switching between landscape and portrait orientation or extreme angle shooting. A separate numbered drag tension knob lets you preset resistance to safely match your camera weight.
Constructed from solid aircraft-grade aluminum and finished with a hard-anodized coating, the LH-40GR delivers professional durability with refined handling. An Arca-Swiss compatible clamp with anti-twist quick-release plate ensures secure mounting and broad system compatibility.
