Leofoto LPH-X2D II L Plate for Hasselblad X2D, X2D II | Arca Compatible

I think this L bracket for the X2D 100C camera has been well thought out. The bracket has a nice finish and feel. It clips to my tripod quickly and firmly both in Landscape and Portrait mode. I also appreciate the features such as the DS clip that I use with my neck strap and the extendable side “L” to allow access to the USB C port and memory card. I also like having an allen wrench handy magnetically clipped to the bottom plate when I need to extend the side L. Hasselblad had no choice but to put the USB C port and memory card on the left side of the camera.

The fit of the bottom plate is good. I found turning the camera body upside down and letting the bottom plate float on the camera body as I tighten the screw is the best way to center the bottom plate to the camera body. The side opening for a strap is a nice feature but not really useable I found because any cord tied there interferes with removal and installation of the camera battery. That is not the fault of the bottom plate. The wall of the camera body in that area is paper thin leaving very little gap for the bottom flange of the battery to clear side of the bottom plate. Fortunately, the Leophoto designers thought to add a pin on the underside of the bottom plate to hold a strap. The best thing is my Peak Design button is tied to that pin and still fits under the bottom plate allowing the camera to rest flat on a surface.

I was worried about the side bracket touching the camera body but found a rubber pad is already installed on the bracket to protect the camera body. So overall I cannot think of anything that could make the L bracket for the X2D 100C better.

I love the LeofotoLPH-X2D L Plate because they’ve thought through an easy mechanism for attaching it to X2D that means I only need to attach it when I use it — it’s not permanently attached. Well made and well designed!
