When installed this plate looks like it is part of the camera. Perfect fit and no interference with camera controls or battery compartment access. The grip is convenient and makes it easier to use and carry the camera. I often use the OM3 on a tripod and the plate facilitates this nicely. My only complaint is the side plate of the L bracket is too small for my Flexshooter Pro head to clamp down. As a workaround, I have been using a small head that I carry in my bag. Overall a great product. Highly recommend.
