I searched high and low for an L-plate for my new a1ii. I had the Really Right Stuff bracket for my a7riii which I absolutely loved, but it was $200 at the time. The new one for the a1ii is like $215 and all the reviews say it has a poor redesign. Looking to save some money, I finally landed on the Leofoto model. I just got it, but, for the price, you can't go wrong. When I ordered it, I didn't realize it had the magnetic allen wrench, so was happily surprised. It's well designed, well built and I love that I can access my battery hatch without having to move the hatch to the L-bracket like the RRS model. I give it a four star because when you remove the L-bracket and leave the base plate on, there really isn't an easy place to put the screw you take out. And when it's in vertical orientation, there is just a bit of wobble. Probably not enough to make a difference, especially with a shutter timer on, but just not 100% solid. I think it will hold up over time. I'm impressed for $69.
