Billed as a hybrid Arca-Swiss / Picatinny QR clamp, it is very solid. Clamp is designed really well, very much like the simple but effective safety latch built into the lever. Super easy to unlatch the lever with one motion. However, 4 stars because the website fails to call to your attention that the lever clamp mechanism sticks down below the bottom surface. So when you try to place it on a tripod head, it may not sit flat and therefore cannot be secured to the head. This was the case with my VH-30N pan/tilt head. Upon reaching out to Leofoto, they very quickly replied that the part is intended more for gun users (my use is photography) and fits well on certain ball heads but maybe not on other heads. They agreed the marketing info on the website needs some updating and clarification. If the clamp fits your intended mount, I wouldn't hesitate to buy it. It's a solid, solid piece. Re: VH-30N, I purposely bought this version and the LSC-52X because I wanted the updated lever with safety latch. The VH-30LR option comes with a lever clamp but it's just the old LR-50 which has no safety feature.
