The Leofoto MA-40X Lever-Release Rapid Lock Ball Head was designed specifically to be used on an SA-X tripod, but it features both the SA-X rosette connection as well as a standard 3/8" mounting socket. The head has a lever release to lock/unlock the ball and a redesigned lever-release clamp system with an adjustable clamping width.

I bought this for shooting off a tripod. It does the job and can hold my rifle in place with ease and doesn't bog down over time. I was hoping to use this with a spotting scope as well interchangeably. I don't think that will be the case as making minor adjustments north and south is not very easy. Panning side to side is smooth as can be with the rifle though. I'm happy overall.
