    Well built, but poor design for the purpose.

    This is well built, but too heavy for the purpose of mounting a Garmin Xero to a rifle. There is really no need for the plate to be a double side Arca style. Only if you were mounting the plate to a arca clamp on a tripod. Which would be redundant as you can just mount the Garmin Xero to any tripod. Weight is a serious issue for this purpose.
