Do you know how hard it is to write a review about a tripod bag? What can you really say? It holds a tripod...done?
Well, not this one.
There is a lot more to the Leofoto TB-01. The first thing you notice is the padding. This bag is seriously padded, and while I haven't dropped it yet, I'm not concerned about what will happen when I eventually do.
The zippers are substantial. They have a solid, ridged feel, sound good when opened and closed, pull firmly, and are very well stitched into the bag. Nothing about them feels cheap.
One of the more unique features is the backpack straps. You can throw the bag on your back and take off down a trail or into the field. Remember all that padding I mentioned earlier? This is where it really pays for itself. Running up a path with a loaded tripod bag on your back doesn't leave you feeling beaten, bruised, or abused by the tripod inside.
Once you get where you're going, one quick motion opens the top and exposes the tripod. Grab it, pull it out, and you're in business. No fighting with the bag or completely unzipping the entire thing just to get your tripod deployed.
So, if someone asks, "Is this just a tripod bag?" The answer is no. It's a very well-designed piece of equipment that happens to carry a tripod.
