I live in Colorado and shoot much of my photos and videos at high altitudes in and around Rocky Mountain National Park. I can't tell you how many times I've had a tripod leg (or two) start sinking in the snow, making the camera go out of level, often at a crucial moment.
It's kind of funny that I hike to a spot to photograph or take videos wearing snow shoes and using trekking poles with snow baskets, yet when I setup my tripod, I somehow expected the legs not to sink into the snow. Well now I have a solution in these Leofoto "TFW Set of 3 Stainless Steel Multi-Functional Replacement Feet For Snow / Sand".
The moment I saw these were available, I didn't hesitate purchasing them and wondered why I'd never seen them before. Anyway, the days of trying to find rocks or some other found objects to place under the legs to avoid snow sinkage are now over. It's rare that I shoot in sand, but I'm sure these will come in handy for those situations, as well. Great product, Leofoto!
