It features 3 legs that can be positioned at 3 different angles for height/stability variation. A lockable ballhead allows articulation of the monopod on the foot.
The new VD-04 monopod base also includes a foot pedal for quick adjustments of the monopod with your foot, eliminating the need to manually adjust with your hands.
Monopod attachment
Thread the monopod directly onto the 3/8”-16 thread on the mounting plate and tighten until secure.
Monopod Adapter Included
The VD-04 includes a dedicated mounting adapter for attaching the base to Leofoto monopods and many other monopods that require a longer mounting screw for proper attachment. It is installed in place of the monopod's standard round base plate. This adapter provides the additional mounting length needed for monopods where the standard mounting screw is too short to properly engage the monopod's threaded socket.
To install the adapter, first remove the monopod's standard round base plate, then install the supplied adapter using the same mounting procedure. Once installed, thread the monopod securely onto the VD-04 mounting plate.
Mini-tripod use
Screw any head onto the mounting plate to use the setup as a mini tripod.
Standard monopod mode (without the base)
The VD-04 base includes a removable rubber foot on the underside. Unscrew the rubber foot and install it on the monopod to use it as a standard monopod without the base.
