I have been a hobby photographer for many years. Iβve owned many cameras and lenses. I recently purchased a very expensive and very heavy long reach prime. After pulling the camera/lens combo out of my bag several times, I didnβt realize I was damaging the mount until it failed. After getting it fixed a colleague recommended these to βlockβ the lens to the camera. Iβm now using these to prevent future issues. This may, or may not, be the intended use, but it works for my needs.
